Spiritual and Educational Event Conducted by the Department of Clinical Pharmacology

Staff of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at Tashkent Medical Academy organized a spiritual and educational event at the Abu Ali ibn Sina Public Health Technical School located in Yunusabad district, Tashkent.

Third-year students of the technical school participated in the event. Representatives of the department delivered presentations on the topics of “Anemia” and “Viral Hepatitis.”

Anemia is a condition in which the level of hemoglobin and red blood cells in the blood is decreased, resulting in reduced oxygen delivery to body tissues. Common symptoms include fatigue, dizziness, pale skin, shortness of breath, and weakness. The main causes can be iron deficiency or vitamin B12 deficiency. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include dietary adjustments (diet therapy), iron supplements, or other medications.

Viral Hepatitis is liver inflammation caused by viruses of types A, B, C, D, and E. It can present as acute or chronic. Symptoms include fatigue, nausea, jaundice, and abdominal pain. Treatment varies by virus type; in some cases, antiviral therapy is necessary. Vaccination against hepatitis A and B plays a vital role in preventing the disease.

During the event, real-life examples were discussed, and students shared opinions and asked questions. Slides and handout materials were used to support the presentations.
